I. Nights
bottles
inching toward the wall where your brother sleeps:
On nights like this,
Eugene O'Neill ran between New Orleans bars.
On nights like this,
bottles
return their dead hawks and a parrot on the balcony.
The whole orchestra fell into the abyss of furniture,
discs as they fell, fell
while your mother long
in opium dreams. James O'Neill
believed you when you wanted to break
silk cord windows,
when coal boat trips, you learned the English
of "good morning"
-Believe yourself:
not There is more to life than at night hang
where priests,
children
poets.
And you wanted to open in boilers
a hole to hide the Count of Monte Cristo, where biting soliloquy
fire and guess
in happy families New England coast.
II. The hairy ape
As the hairy ape, imagined
silver dollars, as the monkey
hairy
dancing
came back loaded with soot and news.
Europe was a puzzle,
Europe was the cry from the bridge, was Europe
sulfur bombs and had to stay in a war.
Like the monkey hairy
rituals embraced cages and your fingers
women felt the sun.
And there began the applause and the sea
returning
without knowing why, echoing
in the bottles.
Like the monkey hairy
James O'Neill looks at you thinking that leads to periodic
Central Park bench,
to cover it from the latest fashions and taste
incorrect comedy.
III. sibling
"You do not remember the sun
we saw in Utah: Mormons
how
ran in the rain increased.
"You do not remember, you do not remember
.
(like rain again
empty theater nights and James O'Neill
dies as a stone horse). "You
can not remember the sun: dawn
I just saw and you closed your shutters
to dream of applause.
(Last,
finally
the last second that left James O'Neill
parks,
day
the sea.)
"You do not remember anything
and never left my shadow.
"You do not remember anything, anything
,
anything.
(The doctor shakes his head and Eugene O'Neill
crying like never cried at a premiere). Read more
